The slip stitch is a stitch that gives nice patterns, that look a lot like knitting stitches. It is not a stitch that works very smoothly, and must also be crocheted very loosely. Depending on which loop you insert from the previous round, you get different patterns, of which 1 variant is super stretchy, and therefore suitable for edges of sleeves or sweaters and hats, for example.

The slip stitch is also often used to close your round when you work in the round. That is a subject for the crochet course that will be shown later. Check the overview page to see if the video is already published.

In the first round I work in the back of the foundation chain. Look in the overview of the crochet course for the video in which I show you how to crochet in the foundation chain.

The 3 patterns that are created by working under either the front or the back loop of this stitch are included in the stitch library: patterns 7, 8 and 9. There you can also see the pattern charts and the descriptions for crocheting. The videos and the pages for these 3 pattern stitches will come soon, so please be patient just a bit!
