This is a nice pattern, made with increases of 3 double crochets. It looks very similar to pattern 3, but in this pattern the clusters of double crochets are slightly shifted compared to the previous round with clusters. The row with the clusters are separated by an intermediate row, so that the clusters all show on the same side of the work. You can choose which side you like best to become the front. The front of the double crochets are made in the even rows, which is generally considered the back of the work, but you can choose yourself 🙂 .

How to make the foundation row, how to make single crochets and double crochets and how to make increases can be found in the crochet course.

Tips

The 3 turning chains of round 2 and 4, that count as the first double crochet of the round, can be replaced with an alternative way of making a first double crochet.

The turning chain of rows 3 and 5 can be skipped and be replaced with the alternative for making straight edges for single crochet.

For both alternatives, see the crochet course overview page.
